The safety-hinged lid is not a checkbox feature. Standard toy chest lids drop freely — a fingertip or a head caught beneath a falling lid is one of the most common toy storage injuries in children under 5. TidyBox's safety hinge controls the descent rate of the lid continuously. Children open and close it independently without parental supervision from the first day of use. That independence is the feature that determines whether the storage system actually gets used or whether parents are the ones opening and closing it indefinitely.

The Dimensions — Deliberately Considered
At 31.5" × 13" × 16.7", TidyBox occupies the footprint of a standard bench while providing the storage volume of a substantial toy chest. The height of 16.7" positions the lid at exactly the right level for children aged 2 and above, open and access contents without assistance. The 13" depth keeps it flush against most walls without protruding into walkways.

Design Details
The clean white MDF finish makes TidyBox compatible with every nursery and children's room palette — from Scandinavian minimal to maximalist colorful. The elevated legs separate furniture-grade storage from a plain box. The recessed cut-out handle on the front panel allows the lid to be opened from the front without requiring the child to reach over the top.
